Welcome to Homestyle Herps!

My name is Tony and as far back as I can remember I've always had a passion for animals. When I was 7 years old my love for animals led me to a reptile show in Dallas, TX where I purchased my first reptile with my very own money: a bearded dragon that I named Rosie (we later had to rename the bearded dragon "Mr. Rosie"). Mr. Rosie was my first introduction into the world of reptiles.

I quickly became more and more infatuated with reptiles as a whole and eventually I stumbled upon crested geckos. I started with a trio: one male and two females. After learning how to care for them and breed them successfully, I almost immediately bought three more. Those six geckos quickly turned into twenty which turned into sixty and I now have far too many (yet still not enough) crested geckos in my collection!

I've been lucky enough to work with some extremely talented and passionate reptile breeders over the years including my uncle, Joey Johnston, at Rose City Reptiles who has taught me so much about raising and breeding reptiles. I couldn't be more excited that I finally get to spend my days doing exactly what I love and sharing the product of my passion with other enthusiasts.
